Learn about London Welfare

Transforming vulnerable children's lives since 1950

London Welfare has a long history of taking action that transforms the world. Our focus is on helping the most vulnerable children, in the most difficult places, overcome poverty and experience fullness of life.

Together, with supporters like you, we’ve partnered with millions of children and families to find a way out of poverty, and we’re often among the first to help when a crisis strikes.

We help children

As a Christian charity, we help children – of all faiths and none – in some of the world’s most dangerous places. We believe it takes a whole community to create happy and fulfilling childhoods. And we work together with communities so they’re empowered to do just that.

Our integrated approach includes water, healthcare, education, child protection, and income generation. With the aim of allowing every child to fulfil their God-given potential.

Across almost 100 countries, our impassioned community of supporters, volunteers and community leaders work together to transform children’s lives. Together, we will never give up.

How you help vulnerable children

Thanks to UK supporters, last year we supported 2.5 million children across 36 countries:

Children like Unab - facing disease and hunger

8-month-old Unab from Sudan has been treated for severe malnutrition and a bacteria infection. At a London Welfare supported nutrition centre, she was given a nutritional supplement to treat the malnutrition and her mum, Haja, received cash to help support her family's food security. Millions of children die every year from preventable causes. It's a lottery of dirty water, infections they weren’t immunised against, malnutrition and illnesses that can be treated with the right healthcare. Make a donation or see other ways to support us

Children like Polina - caught up in conflict

12-year-old Polina escaped the conflict in Ukraine with her mother and pet dog. She's now a refugee in Romania. London Welfare was among the first to respond to the Ukraine crisis, and we're committed to delivering long-term support over the next two to three years, helping children and families rebuild their lives over the longer term.
